I have two distinct memories of this session; the first was finding Fatboy Slim’s phone number on a piece of paper in the studio and stealing it. The second was Ink’s decision to play this song completely unlike it had been practiced and played before. When a musician says, at the last minute, that they wish to revamp a song it is generally akin to a character in a horror movie saying ‘I’ll be right back’ before disappearing into a dark room or basement. Everyone watching knows that what’s about to happen will probably hurt but sometimes expectations can be confounded, and this was one of those occasions.

I got drunk the next night and called the number but no one answered, so I gave it to some guy in the street.
