7. A Better Ending - Oran Mor, Glasgow, 2006

MR GREGOR BARCLAY
Guitar, vocals, 2000-

There was a colonial-era municipal building at the foot of the block my parents lived in. It was the only thing low-rise until you got to the hills; one of the reasons the view was so good from the apartment window. I lie on the bed and try to ignore the aircon. I like the simplicity of this tune, and the line about Harrison Ford.

MR CHRIS BROWN
Drums, 2003-2009

Greg: I’ve decided we should make a country album.
Chris: That’s a terrible idea.
Greg: No, it’s not. We’re gonna record it in Nashville.
Chris: Do we really need to go to Nashville to make a
country album?
Greg: Yeah. It's gonna be me, you and Martin with a bunch of Johnny Cash’s old session musicians.
Chris: How are we gonna afford to do this, Greg?
Greg: It’s okay, it’ll be our third album, at which point
we’ll have made enough money to do it. We’re gonna get it written into whatever record deal we sign that we’re allowed to go to Nashville and make a country record at some point within the contract.
Chris: I hate country music.

INK WILSON: Vocals, Bass Guitar
CHRIS BROWN: Acoustic Guitar, Vocals
